Job Title: Public Health Specialist (Laboratory Advisor)

Basic Function  of the Position:

The job holder (JH) plays the leading technical role in defining strategic vision and managing a portfolio related to laboratory services that will allow the achievement of the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) prevention, care, and treatment goals. JH participates in project management as part of the country management team and is responsible for developing, implementing and capacity building of laboratory activities as part of U.S. Government (USG) support of expanded prevention, care and treatment services for HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis (TB) and provides direct service delivery and building comprehensive national laboratory services through training, other technical assistance, and reference laboratory activities under (PEPFAR). The JH is the key public health technical advisor for lab activities within the agency and, working closely with the Philippine Department of Health, is responsible for building the country’s laboratory capacity at national, district and clinical levels.

Starting Salary: Php1,547,209.00/annum

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week

Job Title: Public Health Specialist (Strategic Information/Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor)

Basic Function of the Position:

The job holder (JH) serves as the Strategic Information (SI)/ Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor for CDC Philippines and reports directly to the

CDC Philippines’ HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Advisor.  JH serves as principal assistant and key public health technical advisor in the design,

implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of a broad range of CDC-funded SI activities.  JH provides technical, administrative, and fiscal management

of SI/ME activities under the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) initiative.  JH works closely with the Philippine Department of Health and is

responsible for building the country’s strategic information capacity at national, district and clinical levels.

Starting Salary: Php1,547,209.00/annum
